Was having FroYo with some friends from church one day. The conversation was going well until one of them suddenly cried out “Oh no, I’m turning 24 next year!” So what’s so bad about 24?

This entry  has been inspired by that YOUNG lady (who is most probably going to be the first to read this) and by my own experiences and questions in life.

“I’m almost 24!”

“I have no business yet.”

“I have nobody courting me yet.”

“I feel like my life is unfulfilled…”

Often we have a certain goal at a certain age. I know I do. And sometimes it gets to us when we are not moving as fast as we want to be moving and we realize that ‘age’ is slowly creeping by.

How can you Understand the Mind of God? | God and you

A lot of people want to understand things in the perspective of God. Why did He do this? Why did He do that? Why do we experience this in this world? Why does God allow this? And the list goes on and on… Just how do you understand the mind of God?

This entry has been inspired by my personal quiet time and the book “The love of God” By John MacArthur.

I’ve been reading 1 Chronicles as I go through my sixth time around finishing the Bible. It’s mind-boggling how the Bible changes in personal reflection as life goes by. It has never had the same meaning to me as I’ve read it five times before. And this time around, there was a certain verse that stood out to me as I reflected and meditated on it’s meaning. This is what the verse says:

“Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.” - 1 Chronicles 21:1

Someone once told me, ‘do not hold on to a blessing too tightly that you aren’t willing to let go anymore’. I think there is wisdom with what she said. And don’t we all struggle with that? Especially when we’re blessed with a relationship?

I’ve been blessed with so many friends. And we as human beings experience relationships here and there. It is part of us. We need relationships – it is our design to desire such. And for some part of my life, I’ve been blessed with a special relationship that I was holding on so tightly to.

Hi Sean! How will my heart know that it's God talking to me? How will I be able to know that it's His voice?

You won't :)
God doesn't have a blueprint but He has given you His Word. You will know if it is His will if it is aligned in the Word of God.
As to lovelife - you have to ask help from your accountability group, read books about emotions and relationships, discern if the relationship could take you closer to God or farther from Him. Pray. Get wisdom.

Sincerity is an aspect of our emotions. It is a feeling that empowers the will and fuels the capacity to believe. Truth on the other hand, is an unchanging fact that has nothing to do with the will, or emotions.
