I know I loved you before I met you | God and you

We dream of the perfect love story for ourselves. We often fly away to that place where we dream of a beautiful love story with our special someone. And when reality hits us, we think to ourselves that our love story won’t begin until we reach a certain stage of life. We couldn’t be more wrong.

This entry has been inspired by my mentors: pastor Dennis Sy and pastor LA Mumar and has been re-inspired by the book “When God writes your love story” written by Eric and Leslie Ludy.

Top 5 reasons why you should not worry | God and you

There are a lot of things we can worry about these days. Now worrying has been a trend in our lives. Here are the top 5 reasons why you should not worry.

This entry has been strongly inspired by Harold J. Sala’s book: “Making Your Emotions Work for You

There are so many things we can worry about nowadays

There are so many things we can worry about nowadays

Reason number 1: Worrying is a sin

The Bible explicitly says that worrying is sin because it’s telling God that He can’t handle the problems of your life. It’s having no faith in Him who created you and ordained your days while you were still unformed.

“I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important that food, and the body more important than clothes?” – Matthew 6:25

Why loving someone too much can be dangerous | God and you

I’ve been talking about love and how to love a person of the opposite sex with my previous posts. I hoped to elaborate more on why it’s dangerous to love someone too much in this entry. Does it really happen? What are the consequences of loving someone too much?

Been through a lot lately. I haven’t been posting all that frequent as you might have noticed. Been busy with fixing stuff for work like my NBI clearance, TIN, SSS, etc. It’s amazing how many things you need to do to get employed. This post is inspired by my relationship with a very special someone with whom I have learned with and gained wisdom with.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon | Book review | Unclank

The plot is complicated. The writing style is very easy to follow. Save for the few mathematical equations (which really stretched my intellect), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon is one big Happy Meal that I can gleefully chew on for weeks.

A song for guys who’ve made a mistake in a decision they made with their girl. Back for Good by Take That captures the picture of a lover who fought with his girl and in the end, he realized it wasn’t worth losing her over to winning their argument.

Does Karma exist in Christianity | God and you

We are all quite knowledgeable of the word ‘Karma’ aren’t we? It originates from a Hindu belief and it’s philosophy connotes that for everything you do, there is a direct, balanced consequence which will take place some time in your life. What does the Bible say about it? Does Karma exist in Christianity?

Is there such a thing as Karma in the Bible?

Cooking Century Tuna | Food and Restaurant Review | Unclank

Canned goods have been part of every college students’ dorm life and sleepless nights, and budgeted allowance. I think the best seller of all the canned goods the students eat are those of the Century Tuna, you can have it cooked or just it popped open.

Microthrills by Wendy Spero

I got Microthrills by Wendy Spero  in a Book Sale sale (haha). I was there because resolved to read more books this 2010. This was the second one. The first was a Half-Blood Prince ebook, hah! Anyway, this book was tucked away behind rows of other old books. The bright yellow color attracted me from behind them all. I dug for it and the title cover lured me into actually buying it.

Something Japanese heats my dinner again. I know it’s dating season this coming week, so I guess if your date is looking for something Japanese, that is good but won’t leave you penniless, Kimono Ken Japanese Resto is way to go.

When God forgot how to be angry | God and you

We have preached here and there about God’s love. “God loves you”, “God hates the sin but not the sinner”, “God is gracious”, and the list goes on and on. What ever happened to the angry and just nature of God? We have chosen to pick out a side of God that appeals to us. I’m going to be painfully blunt with this entry.

This entry is inspired by John McArthur’s brilliant book “The love of God”

Think God forgot how to be angry?

Miraj Persian Grill | Food and Restaurant Review | Unclank

After going to the Joel Rosenberg Youth Conference, we went back home to the south and decided to have dinner together. My friend suggested we go to Miraj, a small Persian resto/grill hidden in BF Paranaque. I’ve been drivin’ down that area for years and I haven’t noticed that place.

To read poetry is to take deep look into one’s soul, both the author’s and your own. I read “Gilgamesh” by Derrek Hines and I did not like what I saw.

Gold is one of the most precious metals in our world today. The reason being it naturally lasts forever. The strongest acids could barely affect it and it does not tarnish. Another reason is that gold is very hard to come about. So why is your life a gold refinery?

The Last Jihad by Joel Rosenberg| Book Review | Unclank

2012. Independence Day. The Day After Tomorrow. The Last Jihad.  All works of fiction. All predicting the end of the age. All wrong except one. The Last Jihad by Joel Rosenberg predicted very scary events on the world stage. They uncannily came true.
